General Information About School Programs
Each school day session requires forty to sixty minutes. One regular session can be
split into two mini sessions to meet special needs. Group sizes range from 50 to 200
based on age, special needs, and the type of presentation.
We assist you at every step from choosing your presenter through returning unsold
books. We accompany presenters and deliver books to your school to ensure a
smooth day. Prior to the program, we design your order forms and parent letters and
lend you books for staff use in the classroom. Adequate preparations are critical so
please schedule your programs as far in advance as possible - one month is minimal.
Our programs are designed to enrich and reinforce your instructional program - they
are not fund raisers. If presenters have books or CDs, they will be made available to
students, staff, and volunteers at a discounted price. We can also set up special
presentations outside instructional hours such as after school or PTA programs.
Payments are made to The Owl’s Tree on or before the day of the program. Estimated
travel expenses will be added if presenters travel more than 50 miles (one way) from
their homes. Some folks have a higher base charge for out of town appearances.
