Bettye Stroud, Author Books and stories are still Bettye’s favorite toys. From playing school to being a teacher and media specialist, bringing reading, writing, and children together is her passion. A Georgia native, she treasures stories about children and her African-American heritage. Betty also teaches writing classes and reviews books. Bettye’s presentation includes slides with pages from her books, writing tricks, and discussions of how her stories developed.
