Adrian Fogelin, Author She didn’t plan to be an author like her mother, but it happened. Living on a houseboat and in transitional neighborhoods, working at a zoo, and teaching middle school all provided characters, stories, and inspiration for her award-winning books. Adrian’s characters cope positively with issues familiar to many of her readers. Her stories evoke a sense of hopefulness and promote understanding of youngsters whose problematic family situations make them feel and act “different.” Adrian’s presentations include exercises from her workshops, “Think Like An Author.” Like magic, stories begin to develop. Sharing her manuscripts and galleys, she draws parallels between editors and teachers. Students provide feedback for her manuscripts in progress. Her writing workshops for teachers and students are nationally known. Her novels: Crossing Jordan ($14.95 & $6.95), Anna Casey’s Place In The World ($14.95 & $6.95), My Brother’s Hero ($14.95& $6.95), Sister Spider Knows All ($14.95), and The Big Nothing ($14.95).
